I'm a bit confused here with differing infomation from Cisco Press CCNA ICND book and Todd Lemmel's.

Say two routers, R1 and R2, connecting via FR.
R1 has DLCI configured as 100, ip 192.168.1.1
R2 has DLCI 200, ip 192.168.2.1.

Now should the frame-relay map command list the LOCAL DLCI or the remote DLCI?, i.e., on R1 is this correct:

frame-relay map ip 192.168.2.1 200 (this is what the Cisco book says - afaiu.

or

frame-relay map ip 192.168.2.1 100 (this is what Todd's book says).

Thanks.

alphabet04,

DLCIs are 99% of the time of local significance only so Todd is correct.

There is a global use of DLCIs but that is the exception to the rule and the question would clearly say something to give away the fact they are looking for an exception!

Hope this helps!
