I'm getting ready to take CCNA exam, and am looking for something to clarify Frame Relay. I use other type os WANs occasionally, but Lamelle's explanation of FR was a little vauge.
Having taken my CCNA several years ago, I'm not really sure how much, or how deep the new tests will take you. You can find good Frame Relay stuff in just about any Cisco Press book (i.e., Building Scalable Cisco Networks, Support [formally Cisco Internetwork Troubleshooting], or Cisco's Internetworking Technologies Handbook), all of which are about $60. However, to save you a few bucks, here are some really good WEB pages that will give you the same thing.
Frame Relay is a Non Broadcast Multi Access network topology that uses DLCI (Data Link Connection Identifiers) to map routes across a network. Most common style of FR network is hub and spoke, with leased lines connecting remote offices
