FR reports

Hi all,

I have a client who has more than 2000 accounts.

When he runs a customized P&L report it takes utleast one hour to run.

How can i make it run faster than that.

Get a faster computer. 2000 GL accounts is nothing, either the computer is very slow, has no RAM or the report is poorly designed.

Thanks for the response.

I changed the formula from FRTRN("NET1P") to FRAMT("NET1P) and its printing in less than 5 min which is good,but there is no drill down info. The previous formula had.

What could be the issue?

FRTRN pulls from GL transactions in GLPOST, FRAMT pulls net summarized info from GLAMF. One gives drill downs and the other does not, one takes long and the other does not - you decide which one to use.
