I'm trying to run a program previously written in FPW 2.6 and keep getting a "DIVIDE BY ZERO" or "OVERFLOW" error so that the program will not even load. Any know fixes guys ?
any efforts appreciated

It has nothing to do with W2K, but rather the speed of your processor. See thread182-50100 (among many others) for a discussion on both the official and "unofficial" solutions.

DBEZNER,
Your problem is most likely related to the fact that you are now using a PC with a processor that has a speed that exceeds 350mhz. There is a known fix. Visit and a search for FoxPro2.6, go to the downloads section, and you will find a list of patches for 2.6. Pay close attention to anything that says "Divide by Zero" or "Fast Processoer Fix", that kind of thing.

What you need is a patch file, that will fix your error. Unfortunately fp 2.6 does not work well with w2k and you need to patch it. there are many patchs to be found on the net, however i am not sure where you can find them now. if you email me with your email address, i will send them to you. hope this helps.

Foxstart.exe . The program goes in the root of the application or development version. And in the pathing of the icon use ?:\foxstart.exe app.exe

Dear Sir,

Could you please tell me that is there any option to check whether the floppy drive is ready (floppy inserted) or not through foxpro 2.6 dos base programme ? if yes, please give me the command(s).

Yours faithfully

This thread has evolved into two topics.
1. Divide by Zero problem (could use DZPATCH.ZIP)
2. Floppy Inserted question (could use ISDISK.ZIP)

#1 may be resolved by going to
and downloading DZPATCH.

#2 may be resolved by going to
Then go to FoxFiles and downloading ISDISK
