FPW2.6 - Slow exiting programs

I have many FPW2.6 apps running on a network using NT4.0 Server. These apps have run fine on this network for the past few years. Recently after the installation of an application (Navision) on the server, my FPW apps have slowed drastically in certain circumstances. Each app consists of many screens and programs and the files are opened and closed each time. Only those screens or programs that open a file exclusively have a problem. They start up and execute normally but takes a long time when the screen or program is exited (like 2 or more minutes).

I have no control on the network administration, but I have to get my apps working like they used to. Has anyone come across similar situations or suggestions?

It sounds like that new app is either causing much more traffic on the network, or it's using a larger share of the server's file cache. Without some analysis, there is really nothing you can do other than suggest someone with the power to change things, check it out.

More server memory, RAID drives, multiple NICs in the server, may all be possible parts of the solution.
