FPGA with new TIF firmware. 1

Hello,

I am going to upgrade ELU32 with new FW. SP7 Implementation instruction says "If the upgrading application firmware for ELU32, it is recommended to upgrade FPGA with new TIF firmware". I have found TIF FW.
What is FPGA?
Is it necessary to upgrade?
What is procedure of such upgrade?

is the hardware version of the ELU32 lower than R6A??
if this is the case, you need to order a special cable from E/// with a firmware specific for the FPGA chip.
otherwise you just need to update the ELU32 firmware via the MD110.
normally this is work for your service provider...
