Hello I'm new to Front Page so please excuse my ignorance if this is a simple question. But I can't seem to find the answer anywhere..

I have a form that I'm storing the results to an Access database and I need to keep the data in certain fields to specific formats so that my searchs or indexs preform correctly..

A few examples would be Date Field:mm/dd/yy or Phone Number Fields (###)###-####..

Thanks for your help..Scott

You could use javascript to check the databefore it is entered. And then it would come back up & say pease enter according to mm/dd/yy, etc. You might even consider using drop downs for the date.

Someone in the javascript category might be able to help you with the code.

I will post this question in the Java category, but I'm also intrested in how I would go about doing it with a drop down?? Would a drop down allow the freedom to edit the date's? I couldn't possibly list all of the dates could I?

Thanks...Scott

Well how many dates are there? You have twelve months, 31 days, and hm, possibly 100 years? You can easily get the source code for these. Depending on what the value that you want to assign, you might need to do a little coding.
