FP Causes MFC42.dll Error in WinME. Why?

Recently, FP refuses to launch, giving me the error FP has caused a conflict with MFC42.dll...if continues, try restarting the machine. Restarting hasn't helped nor has uninstalling/reinstalling FP.

Has anyone experienced this error? If so, any suggestions/solutions?

PS I recently installed Adobe Acrobat 4.05, but am hesitant to uninstall/reinstall that.
