I have a Front Page 2000 web with an FPDB Folder containing several Microsoft Access 97 Databases that supply information to Active Server Pages in the Web. The Web always works fine when served locally by my XP Pro IIS, and on my Windows 98 powered computer's "Personal Web Server". The problem, is that each time I sign on with a different Web server (co-location rental) my Web is fully functional for a few weeks, after which I beging to experience a data error on the ASP'S. I am now on my third Web Sever, and have been for several weeks. Tonite the error came (for the first time after 3 weeks with the Web server servic I am using.Instead of getting a clean ASP, It gives me an eror meaage. Here is the error messager says: "[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]General error Unable to open registry key 'Temporary (volatile) Jet DSN for process 0x790 Thread 0x784 DBC 0x10628024 Jet'." Doe anyone know or have anything that could help me??

Thankyou,

Tiffany,

Thank you so much for your reply. I don't know if you will see what I am writing now, this is my first try answering. When I first indatlled FP2000 on my Win98 machine, Access 97 DBs I located in my Web would not talk to FP till there was a registry edit done. After I upgraded computers & installed Win98 on my new computer, the issue disappeared. I understand the possibility of a web server running into issues using Access 97 with FP2000. I don't understand:
a. Why it takes a few weeks before the problem appears.
b. What to tell the Company that rents me the server space that will get them to fix the problem (if that's even the right thing to do).
I am anything but an expert, but will study the links you sent me. Again, thank you.
