When I click the submit button on my Form my browser comes right back to the original form. I changed the Optional URL Confirmation page to an .htm file within the same directory.

I actually have two pages that are acting the same way. All other submit buttons/confirmation pages are working correctly.

Any ideas?

Although there may be work arounds, if this is a form you built with FrontPage, it should be on a page with .htm or .html extension, not ASP.

It would help if you could provide a URL for your form page. If it isn't on the www. then include your form HTML from beginning to ending <form> tags.

Hope I have been of some help,
Micheal

Thanks,
I recreated the page as an .htm page and it works fine now. I had been working with a Database/results page and just did not get out of that mindset.
Thanks for the wake up.

OK...I thought that it was working.

The URL that I am starting at is:

I have the form set up to send me an e-mail, which it does, with the confirmation page set to:

When I click the submit button I receive the following message:

Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page: &quot;
When I run the singlesubmision_form.asp seperately it works fine. I have other links that go to this page.

???What have I missed???

Hi Dvid,

It is likely the message is a result of you file results setting.
You have your file results to ...
You would have better luck using a text file to backup your form. Usually FP defaults to something like form_results.txt, formrslts.txt, form_results.csv etc.

If you choose a custom name, then it needs to exist in the _private folder. So, if you want for example poorcheck.txt you would open a blank Notepad, do a Save or Save As and direct it to the _private folder of the object web. Also, I would recommend going to form properties and setting the file to Formatted Text.

I believe if you switch to this, things should work fine after republishing.

In addition, it is helpful sometimes to empty your browser cache to be sure you are viewing the newly published page.

Hope I have been of some help,
Micheal
