FP 2003 Search Form not working

Can anyone help determine why I cannot get the search function to work? I always get a "The page cannot be found.." message. I recalculated hyperlinks and ran server extensions repair. The resulting URL is:


The page not found message pops up even if the search field is blank, and comes up instantly.

I searched the entire TT forum:
Sorry, the query "404 "front page" search" produced no results.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The default installation turns off Indexing Service and must be "allowed" in the IIS Manager.
