PS
I have a FOXPRO2.6/DOS based application , I have an open statment USE ACCFSA1.DBF INDEX ACCKSA111 which works 100% but some times (randomly) without any more implemntation I have an error the FILE ACCESS DENIED while I work on single PC and just run one copy and I checked for Viruses BUT nothing found , and some times I have en error on the same statemnet that ACCKSA11 does not exist while it is actually exist in the folder.
when I exit the application and re-run again the problem is over for one or 2 hours of work then one of the above error appears.
This problem recenlty founded in 5-8 other PCs (other customers) but not solved for ever all exit then re-run again.

The user could be running 2 instances of the same program. The first copy is minimised and the user opens a second. See the FAQ "How to run only one instance for FoxPro DOS application" on this site ->faq182-2735

ihabaloul,
accidental "file access denied" may be caused holding it with antivir.
Try exclude .dbf and your index (.cdx is better !)
from checked files.
