This is a page from the access 2000 help files. The line about not all database type being loaded by default is my problem, with office 97 the statement below is helpfull and acurate but not in access 2000.

Database Type. The type of database to import from, export to, or link to. You can select Microsoft Access or one of a number of other database types in the Database Type box. The default is Microsoft Access.
The database types shown in the Database Type argument depend on how you've set up Microsoft Access. Not all database types are installed by default. If the database type you want to use for importing, exporting, or linking isn't available, run the Microsoft Access Setup program, click the Add/Remove option, select the Data Access and ActiveX Controls option in the dialog box and click the Change Option button, and then select the database type you want to install from the Database Drivers box and click the Change Option button again.

The import macro I run on my laptop running office 97 you have the option of foxpro 2.6 as a chioce in the dropdown list and the above instructions were valid to add this option. When I run this database in 2000 it says foxpro is not loaded and gave me the above instructions on how to do so.
The above instructions do not seem to be correct for office 2000. So I can not get the option of foxpro 2.6 in the dropdown box. I am new to office 2000 and wonder if it was a clever move.
Any ideas would be greatfully recieved
Cheers Jim B
