Hello, all
I'm Newbie in FoxPro 3.0 and have a project that I'm working on.. and have a Few questions about the language that kinda fall into the 'Now What?!' File. =)
I'm very fimilar with VB, and ADO.. and have a knack for learing software.. so I know my way around the software some what.. but I'm hung on a few things...

1) How to I handle 'standard' Database access?
such as.. IF I have a bunch of Fields on a form..
How would I do about hitting the Database to put that information into it? I do know about the 'replace' command.
but I'm wanting to know more about HOW to tell FoxPro.. ok open this Table.. Store the data.. and close the connection. type of things.

2) I'm also getting a weird (well, weird to me hehehe) that is telling me that I still have data in the buffer, and it will not let me close FoxPro. How to I clear the buffer(s)?
I've Tried 'Close Tables All' and 'Close all' and Clear this and that.. but nothing seems to help.

3) Any tricks and Tips about useing the reporting tool?!
I'll be in the need to printing my data out and I assume'
the best way to do this is with the reporting tool.

4) are there any good Newbie Websites for exploreing
FoxPro and what it can/can't do? and or Sites that
provide Information about how to use FoxPro?

Thank you all!!!

upgrade to VFP 5.0 or higher before you go any further.

Your learning curve will be better.

The help system and samples will help answer questions.

Would Love to.. but the company doesn't own 5/6 or 7..
and my manager wants it done in what we have.. 3.. *sigh*
You know how it is.. =)

and the Install that I have, doesn't have the Help files on it.. All the infomation that I have been getting is off the net, and/or from the 2.5 Language Guide Book that my manager had.. that's why I came here. =) =)
