We use a quotewriter program that I believe was developed using Foxpro+/Clipper ?? .... I would like to be able to get access to this information outside the quote program to give me greater sorting and filtering capabilities, unfortunately the program does not have any export functions and the manufacturer is uncooperative ...the quote is comprised of 4 DBF files and a fifth file with a .PCD extension ... I can view the dbf tables with many different viewers, but a couple of fields appear to contain unviewable information (6 ascii charachters which i believe are probably pointers pointing to information held in this .PCD file ??.... does anyone recognize this PCD extension, and what program or utility might I be able to use to view all the information.

According to and , it's a Graphic (Kodak Photo-CD Image) file. I believe the Imaging viewer in Win98 will display these.

Of course, as most FoxPro programmers know you can name any .DBF with a different extension, and you can still open it as a table. Extensions are not always a useful way to determine the internal file type. If you use a utility like Quick View Plus ( it will try to identify the true file type and show it. (Note: Kodak Photo-CD Image is one of the many file types it supports.)
