We have a Foxpro application sitting on a dedicated PC.

A client user has a mapped connection to this PC over the network.

The mapped PC has an executable that we can run on the PC but when a client computer user tries to run it, we get an error message,
'Cannot locate the Microsoft Visual Foxpro support library'.

We have another user who can run this executable via the mapped drive but I have been unable to figure out how to get a new user to be able to run the executable in the same way.

Anybody any ideas?
Do I need to install a runtime library lke the .Net framework?

YES, it sounds like the workstation does not have the runtimes

Hi RebelKnight,

Do I need to install a runtime library lke the .Net framework?

Exactly. Except that it's the VFP runtime library, not the .Net framework (as I'm sure you already knew).

Exactly how you do that depends on which version of VFP was used to build the executable. Ideally, you will be able to repeat whatever procedure you used to install the application on the mapped PC. If that's not possible, you will need to copy the relevant files to the target machine, and run REGSVR32.EXE to register them.

If you need more details, let us know which VFP version you are using.

Mike

sorry, i did not see the "like .net framework" and i was refering to the VFP runtime as well as any other controls like activeX controls ... Mike's explaination is a little more clear.
