I installed visual studios in March of 1999. I seldom use it and I can't find the installation disks. The help file for FoxPro 6 doesn't come up with F1 and the help menu is dimmed out. Being an old Clipper head I get the syntax mixed up so I need this help file.

Does anybody have any idea what the name of the help file is, where it is installed, and why the Fox executable would be suddenly unable to find it? I think I have a backup of the installed visual studio directory so if I can determine the name of the help file I might find it there.

Thanks.

hi,

1. the name of VFP 6 help file should be foxhelp.chm.
2. the help file is usually installed in the folder named c:\program files\microsoft visual stadio\msdn98\98vsa\1033
good luck.

Note: If you install the MSDN Library CD, then the last valid VFP help file was in April. (c:\program files\microsoft visual studio\msdn\2001apr\1033\foxhelp.chm) If you've installed later versions of the MSDN library CD, they included either a stub to the VFP 6.0 help file (and VFP 7.0's under a different name), or the VFP 7.0 help file.
