We are using Foxpro 2.6 for DOS. The person who uses the system uses as areport generator. He does this by using the Q.prg (I do not know if this is somthing created and distributed with FoxPro or if this was written at a previous job) this lists jobs and there method and time of execution. There are 3 pc running A batch file With foxprox.exe that constantly queries the q.dbf for ready flags to execute the jobs in sequence. However the dos window will lose focus and stop all processing. Any ideas on how to return focus to the dos window without user intervention.

It's just the nature of running a DOS application under Windows - you won't have the "lost focus" problem if you run the app on a DOS only machine. Could you just run the application full screen and procedurally warn anyone about switching to another window without switching back before "leaving"?

I suppose you could write a VFP program that could sit in the background and check to see if the FPD isn't on top (or active) and make it so. Obviously you'd need some "rules" - for example only after so long, or only when some other critical program is current, etc.
