Null character is being inserted randomly into tables. The basic process is as follows:
Data is imported into a temp dbf - data at this point is ok.
This data is then appended into the main header db, this is when
the data corruption is occuring. It's affecting both the existing records and the newly imported records alike.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I would like to more about your problem. Been using FoxPro since version 1.0 (since time began. Never quite saw this problem - have done and still do many APPENDs.

You may want to post this at They get thousands of VFOX tech inputs a week.

Is your input database part of a dbc?
Is the input database multiuser?

We have had some problems with shared files
when importing from free tables.

We have a Foxpro 2.6 database that is run on a NT 4.0 server. Data files are copied to the individual workstation and then copied back to the server. This leads to much network traffic and a lot of files 'stuck'. The more traffic, the more null values.
