I need to read data from a Pervasive SQL Database using FoxPro 2.6 for Windows via ODBC. Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Thanks in advance.

First - do you have the appropriate Connectivity Kit for your version of Foxpro?

Without it you will not be able to do any ODBC connections.

If you do not have it you might find a copy at:

Also a Google search for:
"connectivity kit" foxpro
will turn up some helpful info.

Also do you have an ODBC driver for your "Pervasive SQL Database" which will run in your workstation's OS. Without it you are also again stuck.

I have never personally used this. When I needed ODBC into SQL Server, I upgraded the development effort to Visual Foxpro.
I would recommend not wasting too much time with doing this with FP2.6W, but instead either hire a consultant/contractor to do it for you (they might already have the software tools and be familiar with them) or, better yet, upgrade your application to VFP9 where this functionality is included.

Good Luck,
