I currently run an old version of Foxbase+ under SCO Xenix 2.3.1. Could anybody tell me whether I could run this software on a PC running SCO Openserver 5.0.0. The software is bespoke and runs very well so I don't really want to rewrite if I can help it. Also if it can how do I install it, it currently uses custom on Xenix

Any advice is much appreciated [sig][/sig]

Terryles,

'custom' is still present on OpenServer, so I'd say your best bet would be to give it a go!!

Thanks Annihilannic, I will try it but currently I am also having trouble installing SCO unix due to host adapter problems, which is why I thought if it was a no-go I wouldn't continue.

After watching changes from Xenix to Unix to Open Server on several applications I'll give you about 10% or less odds. About 10 to 1 against it but give it a shot, you'll never know unless you try. And you might find an update to Unix which has a higher probablility of working.
