One of my IT guys has just purchased 3rd party single fiber bidirectional SFPs to use with our Foundry BigIron RX-4.
When plugged in, the light indicating that the SFPs were inserted came on but that's it. There's no transmission going through.
I'm using the following MRV Communications products.
SFP-FD-BD35 "SFP 100Base-BX and OC3, SM Single Fiber Simplex LC, TX: 1310nm, RX: 1550nm. 40km, with Digital Diagnostics
"
SFP-FD-BD53 "SFP 100Base-BX and OC3, SM Single Fiber Simplex LC, TX: 1550nm, RX: 1310nm. 40km, with Digital Diagnostics
"
Anyone know of a command that would enable our RX-4 to recognize 3rd party SFPs.
Thanks for your help to all who answer.
Marc
