Found a pretty good program that analyses your site and gives suggestions on how to increase ranking on search engines.

Web Position Gold

However it is a 30 day trial, and to buy it costs $150 USD.

Any one know of any other good programs that do this either for less money or for free.

Please feel free to comment on Web Position Gold as to whether or not you think it is good, and whether or not I should buy it.

Thanks. [deejay]

Hi mate,

I remember trying Webposition a few years ago and it seemed ok but whatever that programs can do, you can also.

If you get into a regular pattern of optimising your pages for the keywords that you want to list high for, then chances are that if you do it correctly, it will work.

Make sure that you use the correct metas and that you carefully choose your wording on the sites pages to include as many keywords as possible without going overboard and flooding your pages.

Submit your site manually to the major search engines and also to any others that you have time for. The ones that are left can be submitted by an automated program.

I have also been told bya lot of people that submitting to FFA pages actually reduces your chances of a high listing in Yahoo etc. In my experience, this is not the case.

I have top listings for one of my sites in nearly all of the major engines and also hundreds of minor ones too. This was simply done by hard work and correct tecniques. My other sites have just been launched recently so they are not as high as I want yet.

Hope this helps Wullie

I second Wullie's comments. I bought Web Position Gold and thought it would solve all my optimisation problems. It does help but most of it is common sense - once you know what you're doing.

Take a look at - you'll learn everything you need to know from this web site. The Demon
