Legend r7, trying to forward the Operator's phone x10 to a cordless phone via a forward button on x10. Will not work even though the display on x10 says the phone is forwarded to the wireless phone. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

are you trying to fwd the lines on the console as well???? If so, then you need to assign the lines on the console as a principal user for the console.
sys prog
exit
lines/trunks
more
principal user
{{enter line number..ex.801}}
enter
{{enter the console extension..10}}
enter

if you do this for every line, then the lines will ring at the cordless when you fwd.

Just a warning, principal user affects coverage as well...so if the console has a m/b, then the calls will go into the m/b of x10 after the designated amount of rings.

You might also consider putting a Coverage Button for ext. 10 on the cordless instead of forwarding the calls. Forwarding the console can turn into a messy situation if you are not careful.

that sounds good...can I do that thru Centralized Programming?
Thanks
Tom

Yes. Just enter the extension of the cordless phone in centralized programming. Then choose a blank button to put the coverage button on, it doesn't really matter which button since it is a cordless you won't see the button anyway. Then list through the features until you see Coverage. Choose Coverage, then Primary Coverage and it will then ask for which extension. Put the extension number of the console and you should be all set. Anytime the console rings, the cordless should then ring as well.
