We have a user who is working off site, and has been for quite a while, he came into the local office for a couple of days last week and logged on locally, needed to get email etc. I went into his account in ADU&C, User Properties, Exchange General, Delivery Options, Forwarding Address and saw that his mailbox had been set to forward to an outside address, I tried enabling the Deliver messages to both forwarding address and Mailbox with no success. Finally took off the forwarding address thinking that I'd just readd it once he went back to the offsite location. No Dice, it seems that all I can add is locations on our domain???? It was set up to go offsite, I need to figure out how to do it again, anybody have any ideas, suggestions? We are using W2K3 SP1, Exchange 2K3. Thanks

All you need to do is create a Custom Address first (the outside one).
Then you forward the mailbox to that Custom Recipient.
That's all.

Oh, PS:

After you done the forwarding, you may want to go back to the Custom Recipient and hide it from the Global address list so users cannot see it.

Thank you, that's exactly what my predessor had done and I did again.

You're welcome
