Hello,
I have a customer that I'm installing an MICS 032 for. They are not getting Voice Mail. They are using CO voicemail from Pacific Bell. Can the MICS be forwarded to the CO voicemail under Capabilities -> Forward to. What would I enter where you normally enter the VoiceMail ext.number. They also want it to go to this VoiceMail after a delay of four rings. Thanks for the help.
Dmac,

Well, if you have at least 4.1 software you can do an external call forward. Just build a route and destination code, then go under Capabilities for that extension, FNA to... press change and enter the dest code, then feature 78, then the phone number. The feature 78 is a pause. Then you can press next after that and set the Forward Delay to whatever you want.

To Build a Route

Ringing Service – Next to
Routing Service – Show

Show Route: 001 – Show
Dialout: No Numbr – Leave alone – Next
Use: ( ) – Change to whatever pool your using...
DN Type: Public

To Build Destination Codes:
Routing Service – Show
Routes – Next
Dest Codes – Show
Show destcode: (enter code) - Next
DstCode: (enter code) – Show
Normal: 000 – Change to route built – Show
AbsorbLength: ALL

Hope this helps.

Another option is to have the CO do the FNA on the line side and use CO fwd code on the line when they need calls to go directly to vm without ringing on the KSU.

If you use the telco to fwd busy/no answer individual co lines so that a mailbox is associated with a specific CO line AND you have call id trunk you can have that CO trunk's Visual Message Waiting option turn on the Message For You on your display.
to get this the CO line must be using the FSK message indicator (the one that is buried in a caller id type packet) then go to Terminals & Sets->EXT->Telco Features->Feature Assign->line:___->Ext FMsg Set: JerryReeve

mroberts,
It has DR 5 software I'm not sure what version. Will the external call forward work on it?
Dmac,

As long as it is at least 4.1 MICS software it will do it. Old 8X24 DR5.0 will NOT do it. ;-)
