HEY GUYS...
ON A MAGIX, I WANT TO FORWARD OUT CALLS, BASICALLY FROM A PHANTOM DN CONNECTED TO A MAILBOX, NO ISSUE DOING THIS VIA #33 TO 9XXX-XXX-XXXX, BUT THE CUSTOMER HAS ACCOUNT CODES SET UP WITH THEIR PROVIDER FOR BILLING, WONDERING HOW I CAN GET THE ACCOUNT CODES TAGGED ONTO THE END, WHETHER IT BE THRU DIGIT MANIPULATION, OR MAYBE FORWARDING TO A SYSTEM SPEED DIAL?

ANY THOUGHTS?

Don't you mean "to a phantom dn connected to a mailbox" and not from? It doesn't make sense to have an extension, adjunct or hunt group in a Magix tied to a mailbox if said object is to be forwarded offsite, right?

Enough hairsplitting. This is a tough one as the Magix doesn't seem to have a pause or wait feature for forwarded calls.

What you can do is isolate a CO line and remove the carrier's call accounting codes for that line only. You can then program the forwarding extension to select that trunk for all outbound calls.

If you have a spare POTS line outside of the system that only receives inbound calls, you can forward that line to the final destination number. Forward your extension to the spare local line, and you won't be troubled with account codes.

Lastly, I have used CLEC dialers for devices such as fax machines to insert the required digits at the end of a dial string.

nah, we're talking an agent with a phantom dn thats forwarded to a cell so that someone calling in hitting the main greeting dials their extension and gets forwarded to their cell...
they basically rent their desk, or phone capability, so the account code issue is mandatory as far as pointing forwarded calls to a pots line not requiring acct codes..

If you give the adjunct an auth code, you should be able to use HOLD to enter a pause:

#80-(auth code)-#-*33-9-(tel-no.)-hold-(acct. code)-#

And, of course, you may need multiple pauses.

Correct, these are adjuncts...

That looks like it may work exactly how I need it to.

Many thanks for the assist

Thanks, Tom. After all these years, I was unaware of the Hold = Pause feature. Of course, I never needed it. Forwarding to 91-NXX-XXXX has always worked just fine without a pause, so I never really needed or pursued it.

You da man!
