Hello. I'm not sure if anyone can help me or not. I'm working with an NEC SV8100 that has a Comcast PRI. I'm trying to forward all calls from the two phone numbers to an external number, but unable to get it to work. I tried contacting the company that put in the system, but they went out of business. I've scoured the manual and even tried the wizard, but can't get anything to forward.

Menu 24-09 has a section for Call Forwarding Fixed Settings, however that only appears to allow me to forward individual extensions and not all inbound calls. The Call Forwarding - Off Premise wizard just seems to allow individual extension forwarding as well.

I contacted Comcast who told me that I have to forward calls from the on-prem device and they can't handle the forwarding.

Can anyone help me with this one?

Thanks so much!

Ok so the easiest way would be to send all incoming calls to one Virtual extension and then forward that extension number to the desired number!

Thanks for such a quick response OzzieGeorge. But how to I send all incoming calls to a virtual extension?

I've tried forwarding an extension to an external number but that doesn't appear to work either. I tried to do it through both the web interface of the SV8100 and by dialing x741 and entering the external number. I'm just not having any luck with this thing! :)

Use the DID translation table to direct the call to a virtual extension. Then set that virtual extension to call forward all outside.
22-11, 24-09. Make sure the class of service outgoing allows call forward outside. In 24-09, a 9 or whatever your trunk access code is must be specified in front of the dialed number.

Thanks so much for your help. It took a little reading to figure out your steps, but it appears to be working. I really appreciate the help. I wasn't sure where to turn since the company in the area that did the work went out of business.

You can always turn to us but things can get complicated and if you really need help in a hurry with no local tech this could be an issue. You may want to see if you can set up remote access and get Belvedere to be your go to tech (I'm in OZ so not as accessible).
