Extension is set to forward off the system to the client's cell phone.
Client is complaining the volume is so low he can barely hear the other party.
There probably isn't, but does anyone have any suggestions?

I know going from a cellular network to a land line and then out to the cellular network is a bit of a strain.

Call forwarding through a telephone system (especially when POTs lines are involved) will result in a drop in a call's volume.

Using the local service provider's Call Forwarding feature would eliminate that problem.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Or if you have Partner Messaging, you may be able to make a rig to perform a Centrex transfer that will provide stellar volume as well as remove the call from your phone system. That is how I'd go...

Simple 3-Way calling won't get it, you need to have the feature "Call-Transfer/Disconnect", so that you can initiate the 3-way, then drop off and have the other 2 parties remain connected to each other.

The client only wants calls transferred to his cell phone that head to his extension. He does not wish to transfer all the calls coming in on a specific line.

The Partner Messaging rig with Telco based Centrex or some other flavor of call transfer/release could do this. Using the telco's Call Forwarding Variable would not be appropriate.

But you would need to have all the lines that get calls that you want to transfer to the cellphone, to HAVE the Call Transfer/Disconnect feature. Otherwise you could not transfer the call...
