Hello all,

I have a simple little Mercury setup for a remote office. They need one of the users to be sent copies of all the emails that arrive.

I used a Global Rule to do this but it's not triggering. Looking through the help file it almost makes it look like Global rules are for outgoing as opposed to incoming mail?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Mark Lidstone

Open Mercury
Click on Configuration > manage local users
When Users Defined For This System Box opens click on user you need to forward for and click Change button
When User Details box opens click on Forwarding button
Add line(s) to forward file as follows:

Forward-To:<address> where <address> is full email address you want msgs forwarded to.

Deliver-Also<y> or <n> Defines if mail is to be also delivered to local pop box <y> or forwarded only with no local copy <n>

Note: We have found that mail on a local system will not be forwarded unless the full local address is used. In other words mail addressed locally to user@yourdomain.com will get forwarded to user's other address, while local mail to user without @domainname.com will get delivered locally but not forwarded. Not sure why this is but if you are having forward problems make sure clients are using full mail address including domain name.
