IE
through AD users and computer, an email (user A) account has had a forwarding added to it to (user B), which is fine as this is requred while someone (user A) is out on holidays but when i went to edit the rule, ie set an end date, i cannot find the rule and thus edit it. also the rule is not set to send to both accounts and thus user a will not get their emails when they return.

the forwarding wasnt set up as a rule by the user, but in AD users and computers,
~user properties,
~exchange general
~ delivery options
~forwarding address
~forward to

where is it possible to edit this forwarding and set the end date, as once the user comes back they will no longer wish the emails to forward to his colleague.

cant find it in AD, had a quick look in exchange system manager, couldnt find it there either, same with loggin in as the user in outlook.

thanks,

You can't do an end date. It is an entirely manual process.

You can set it to keep a copy and forward as well, one of the tickboxes.

Delegate administration for the OU in which the user resides. The attribute is a property of the user account.

That's my problem... can't (for the life of me) figure out what property/attribute it is... any help??

Thanks!
Brandon

Have a look at the options you have and pick you that will fit in to your security requirements.

haha... Ok, what I need to do is give my Helpdesk the ability to setup Mail Forwarding in AD. Now, if you can tell me how to do that- you're the best!

Thanks,
Brandon

i don't know why everyone is so confused... I'm not trying to create a mailbox (kb above)... all i need to do is give helpdesk the ability to set the mail forwarding of any mail-enabled user in Active Directory:

User Properties
Exchange General
Delivery Options
Forwarding Address <= Here...

Thanks,
Brandon

they need read list and change at a minimum on the user.

obviously, the answer remains a bit confusing... can you give me step by step, please?

Thank you!
Brandon
