Forwarding issue

Hi all! Question: I have a customer who is set up to have all of his lines Appr&Rng on all 8 of his phones, then after 4 rings Auto Attedant answers (CallPilot 150).

He wants the ability to have the call ring once, then if he doesn't want to be bothered, smack a button and send the call directly into voice mail. He doesn't care if that means his personal mailbox or Auto Attendnat.

I've tried doing a F984 after the first ring and that doesn't work. It's fine for subsequent calls but not the one already ringing. Same for setting up a ringing group with nothing but the first port of the voicemail in it and giving him a F871 button. Great for subsequent calls but does nothing for the call in progress.

Any ideas?

The DND just makes the incoming calls not RING. It won't send it directly to vmail in the middle of a ring cycle.

Oooh. You're right. I just benched DND on Busy, BCFWD to Vmail and DND button.. and you're right OF COURSE.. how could I think otherwise even going off hook with intercom during the ring cycle won't direct a call 'during'... only after. Hmm .. ??

I know. This is one of those unsolveables, I think. The guy just needs to either answer his bloody phone or blow it off and the AA delay will get it.

Ah well, he's a customer and he wants it his way. (like I'm freakin' B.King)
