Hello all,

I have a user that would like a button to forward calls to their cell phone when out of the office. Unfortunately they are on analog trunks still, so I know Mobile Twinning is not supported.

I tried a "Forward" button on the user that forwards unconditional to her cell and that is not working so great either. She said:

"Okay we tried the extension and there’s about 10 seconds of silence before it starts ringing on the caller end." (Over SCN - Do not think this is supported either)

"When I dialed my direct line, it rings twice then there’s a pause and starts ringing again and that’s when it starts ringing on my cell."

Is this something that just wont work well on analog trunks?

Analog Trunk to Trunk Connect is enabled.

What do you mean it doesn’t work to well????

Does it work at all

Try using an AA with transfer to cell phone

Then set up a shortcode to dial the AA

Then forward the user to the shortcode.

Don’t for get you are limited to the amount of lines you have in and out.

snowman50: I will give that a go.

Working as intended with Analog Lines. Caller hears 2 rings because the phone system waits roughly 2 rings for callerID on analog lines.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

critchey: When her direct dial is called, it works as intended, with the 2 rings to capture the CID and then her cell rings.

The strange thing is when her extension is dialed internally, there is a 5-8 seconds delay before her cell rings.

Well they said it is forwarding over the SCN when they get that delay what about dialing an extension on the same system does it have the same delay?

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

critchey: Yes. What I did was create a local phantom extension that is forwarded unconditional to her cell. When they dial that extension, the delay is still there.

Have you tried forwarding an active call offsite directly instead of forwarding to a phantom user(transfer to 98885551212 for example)? Just trying to narrow down where the delay is introduced.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

critchey: I have not. I will have the client give that a go.
