BCM 450. 6.0. PRI trunks. In Chicago US.
Haven't posted in long time. Hopefully people still come to board.

Have client when we do hard forward to cell phone from DID call just hangs and hangs up.
If dial extension internally it forwards.
When call DID I don't see even hitting PRI on monitor.
PRI can send variable Caller ID. I.E. I can send my cell phone if put into OLI. And even when call from inside office to DID doesn't go through.

Brought out 2 other BCM's with different programming. Both did same thing.
Connected Norstar and it worked fine.

I'm thinking maybe something with verified Caller ID. Maybe carrier inserting V into string so system doesn't like OLI being sent so rejecting before even attempting the call.
I don't know of any trunk to trunk settings on BCM I can look at.
But I'm apit balling.

I think you need to enable the "Allow redirect" tick box

Firebird. Sorry. Forgot to mention in original post.
I do have Allow Redirect ticked.
If call extension internally forwards just fine.
But if call DID, hangs and then hangs up. Replaced DTI card. Also tried with two other BCM's. Both did same thing.
With Norstar was able to forward both internal and calls to DID's.

"hard forward to cell phone from DID"
Do you mean Call Forward?

When call DID I don't see even hitting PRI on monitor.
Do you mean, you do not see the outbound forward attempt on Monitor?
If Monitor does not flinch on the outbound then something is up with programming.
If the call was rejected it would show the outbound attempt then drop right away.

From scratch...example

Sets
-Allow Redirect
-Allow access to BlocA
-Set the DID/Target Line to Appear & Ring
-Set up the OLI to none, the main # or the private DID (which ever the carrier wants to see to allow the call to go through)

Route
Setup route 002 to use BlocA, absorb All
Setup Dest code 8 to use BlocA

Dialing Plan
Public- set up the dest code and the allow amount of digits such as 12 (1 for Dest code, 1 for Local LD and 10 digit local #)

User
Feature 4 to Dest Code then Tel #

Check every single thing mentioned above is programmed as said with exception to route and dest #'s
The same goes for Norstar or BCM.

Curly.
By Hard Forward mean using Feature 4 from phone. Not doing it through Forward All in Element Manager.

When I dial the extension internally. It grabs 23rd channel and calls out. Call completes. I see it in Monitor.
When I dial the DID. See call coming in. Nothing happens. It does not try and dial out. See no activity on Channel 23 (Or any channel) that trying to dial out.

That's what's confusing the cr*p out of me. If trying to dial out then I could see issue in that BCM passes along caller ID and carrier may not allow for toll fraud purposes. But it's just not trying to dial out.

As I said before. Brought two other BCM 450's 6.0. Exact same thing. Forward phone to external number using Feature 4. Dial internally. Dials out using Channel 23. When dial DID. It doesn't even try and dial.

But brought out Norstar and it forwarded just fine. If dialing internally or dialing DID.

Thanks for splaining

Call Forward from phone or BEM is the same, no difference.

So far it sounds like something is wrong with programming with the Sets (OLI, DID line assignment method A&R) or Dialing Plan (Public DN lengths)

Best to post ALL related settings....

-Sets LineAccess/LineAssignment and also CapabilitiesPrefences/Capabilities
-Target Lines/problem line/ both Preferences tab and Assigned DN's tab
-DestCodes and Routes
-Dialing Plan Public

As for Monitor are you also looking at the UIP tab with the MCDN Over IP checked to double check the call does not attempt to go out?

Curious as to what the caller hears exactly.

No. I am not familiar with that tab. Was looking at Line Monitor.
What do I exactly need to check to use that. And what exactly am I going to be looking at??

The PRI is on Bus 4.

In regards to outside caller.
If call DID from another extension using PRI Goes for a second and then get busy signal.
If call DID from Cell Phone. Waits a second and then gets disconnected. No audio.
