Forwarding an Extension to a Multi-Level Auto Attendant 1

We have a multi-level auto attendant which mailbox number 7206 and extension 1205 .

I want to setup extension 1910 so when people dial it, it simply goes to the menu node voicemail box of 7206.

I setup a call rerouting always alternative number for both mailbox 7206 and extension 1205 and the generic auto attendant is played.

I am wondering what i am missing?

By design mailboxes must match the number dialed.

Also by design, the original dialed number is retained regardless of the intervening hops between original and VM

Good implementations are designed to use these method.

thank you! i had it setup on a phantom kpm and needed to change it to a nametag huntgroup

Caution, I should have pointed this out earlier. I have recently discovered that when using Nametag in this manner to force the call to a specific number, the call ID is retained even after the call is answered and transfered.

What this means is, Nametag should not be used when the endpoint is an autoattendant.

What happens is the MLAA transfers out to an extension and if the call comes back it drops back to the MLAA, not the users MB.

I haven't had time to test this much but feel free to find out what you can and let me know.

Hi Can you clarify what extension 1205 is doing?

I understand what 7206 is doing.

Also, is 1910 Re routed always in day night 1 andnight 2 to 7206?

If i read your post right, why not have the MLAA mailbox as 1910, ten when you re route 1910 is plays MLAA message? (as KWB intimated)

There is also another way to achieve this without nametag HG but will explain once you've answered the above

 
MitelMatt, the other way is using ACD groups and that method is also linked in the FAQ posted above.

If you know of yet another way, don't be cagey, educate us.
