Forwarding a MCR key

I have been pulling my hair out on this one...I need to setup a ring group of 4 phones for a help desk. Basically, I need all the phones to ring when a call comes in. The catch is that I need to forward this number (manually) after-hours to the on-call staff member.

I tried both MCR and SCR keys, and the ring group works well, however, it will not forward when I set a call forward on the MARP TN. If that DN is only on the MARP TN, then it will forward, but as soon as I program that button on another TN the forward will not work. Can anyone suggest how I might be able to create and forward such a ring group?

if i follow you right... what about useing a phantom then fwd that to your day DN, then fwd that to another DN after hours... or am i missing something..been a long day???

I was trying to avoid using a phantom because my TN licensing is maxed out...I guess what I'm looking for is a way to forward a multi-appearance DN. I thought that the TN that had MARP for that DN would do the forward, but things change when a DN appears on several TNs...I'm still pretty new on the Meridian...

Do you have CCR?
Can you program an ACD?
Are the 4 phones ACD capable?
 
It sounds like MARP is not activated. It is activated in LD 17. If you want to check whether it is see the following text.
The examples you gave point to this, as without MARP on the phones they will not forward the way you want them.

If MARP is not activated, the overlays listed have this message printed: “MARP NOT ACTIVATED.” The message appears only once, when the overlay is loaded. When MARP is active, no message appears. The overlays affected are: LDs 10, 11, 20, 22, 25, 80, 81, 82, and

Thanks for the reply. I just checked, and I don't get the message, "MARP NOT ACTIVATED" when I load any of those overlays, so I assume MARP is activated. Could it be some wierd feature interation with call forward and MARP?

why dont use a DRC key on one set (DID Routing control key),
This changes your idc table in your rout from day to night, so you can programm different targets for your DN!

I would just confirm MARP is indeed set to yes in the config. Prt the CFN in LD22, towards the bottom you'll see the MARP prompt. (should be set to yes)

Other than that you could if you do not want to use ACD. Set up a phantom DN with the published number callers ring (internally or externally)
- Set the phantom with cfxa in the CLS
- set scpw with a 4 digit forwarding password
- Set up CFW 16 (so you can remote forward to your on call person at the end of the day)
-Set up DCFW 4 xxxx to default to the 4 phones when the phantom is not forwarded externally.

To activate the remote forward feature you need to look up the feature activation code listed in LD 57 .
