My phone is forwarded unconditionally to another extension

Forward Hunt Group Calls is NOT checked

Forward internal Calls IS checked

If someone calls my extension , the forward destination phone rings

If someone calls the group (sequential ring) my phone is member of, nothing rings : forward doesn't start and my phone DOESN'T ring (that should expected to..)

Any hints please ?

Thanks

You have your extension set to forward yet you have it set to not forward hunt group calls. Forward works but when it is in a huntgroup it does not forward(set to not forward huntgroups) but you have it set to forward... What exactly are you trying to do?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I need to forward calls directed to my precise extension number

When a call reach a hunt group my extension make part of, I need my phone rings instead to be forwarded.

I supposed that was the purpose of that flag...

Any idea ?

I noticed this a while back, basically I used to forward 2 phones to a group but not forward group calls, that way you can twin without losing individual extns for outbound calling, it used to work fine (perhaps back at R5 I last did it) but not anymore, it's a bug and I doubt they'll fix it :)

So, is Forward Hunt Group Calls flag definitely a bug and it doesn't work ?

this will not work

becuase your phon is forwarded it i not seen as being available for group calls.

the olny option I could see is for you to log on as a different extn. number when you want group calls only.

seriously
You used to be able to receive group calls on an extn that was on divert? (not divert group calls to another user)

I would not have expected it to behave like that, although i will admin I have never tried it

Yes
I need to answer the group calls I'm member of (i.e. calls from customers for an help desk) , but not the internal calls from the collegue that I want to be forwarded to another extension

So I ask myself what is the purpose of that flag

the purpose of that flag is to enable someone who is a member of a group to divert there phone to another destination & still receive group calls which would not normally reach them

Usually you forward your phone to another one when you leave your desk or if you don't want to break your work.

So for that reason it makes sense that IPO will ignore you for group calls as soon as you enable call forwarding.

Yes, fine way of thinking, but if so, that flag has no reason to exist....or better, you must have it always checked for an unconditional forwarding as if not checked you loose group ringing functionality unless perhaps this is avaya wanted feature : if unchecked "ignore I'm part of the group, don't let me ring".
it would be interesting a feature like "ring for the group - forward for extension directed calls
