Hi,

We have a five 8600 OSPF ring, on each one we've created VLANs designed for it's area. But sometime we must pipe some of the VLANs to the other 8600. Is there a way to find a MAC address forwarded from one 8600 on an other 8600.
If I go to a 470 Baystack for example I can go to "Edit/Bridge/Forwarding" and see all the MAC addresses that are being forwarded by that switch. I would like to know if there is a way to do this on a switching module found on a Passport 8600.

Thanks,

X

Try turning on port mirroring and sniff the ports using wireshark utility. Then filter results according to MAC. Long way but works just the same. Will tax processing power. Work around till you can find the easier way

show vlan info fdb-entry ?

You can then either specify a particular mac or all in a vlan

Thanks a bunch andy88 ... I love it, works like a charm :)
