Forwarded calls to DID won't go to voicemail

I have a BCM 400 3.7 with a PRI. 646-4500 rings to DN 2300 which has voicemail. If I call 646-4500 and I don't answer the call, it will go to my voicemail box as intended, whether it is forwarded, or transfers after 4 rings.

The problem is, if I forward a number to 646-4500, it won't go to my voicemail, instead I get the announcement 'the extension you are dialing is not available'. I can still answer the call, but if I don't answer it, it doesn't go to my voicemail.

BCM monitor shows the calls going to the same VM DN, whether forwarded or not. I have tried forwarding cell phones, landlines, centrex all with the same result. The target line is primed to DN 2300 I have tried public, private line settings and control set changes, all with no effect.

I am stumped and need help

The only time I have had a simular issue was on IP flex circuit and there was no work around at the time 4+ years ago.

The BCM is apparently seeing something different in the incoming number assigned to the target line (646-4500), when there is a number forwarded to that number in the DMS100 switch...I can't imagine what that would be though...

Crowtalks, I have had the same problem with forwarded calls to a CS1000 and to an opt 11 going to an AVST in one case and to a Call Pilot 5.0 in another. I've always had the same issue and when I had AVST dissect the logs, they found that the incoming call was preceeded by the CLID of the orignal number. This didn't show in the dch messages so it must have been carried in-band. That apparently displaced or shifted the real CLID info. I tried to work our local Telco service provider to not send the forwarded lines CLID but gave up after a few months. Good luck.

My problem , is I work for the Telco and still can't get switch translation to dissect or traver the calls to try and find the problem...'it's leaving here good' has been the reply from CO techs for 33 years so far on screwy troubles...
