Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with setting up the following on an MiVB R8.0:
- Forwarding an incoming PRI DID to an external number
BUT
- Change the outgoing callerID on that call to display the DID number?

So essentially, I want to display the called DID number when that DID is forwarded immediately out to an external number.

I've tried quite a few items in the 'Display' section of COS but nothing has worked.

Also, my setup is the following:
---->MiVB3300 PRI Gateway ONLY<---XNET--->MiVB Virtual---->Phones

I think this is now an option with SIP Trunks.
Have not seen anything with PRI though, sorry.

will depend upon the carrier

the carrier might not allow yuou to display someone elses number on an outgoing call

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks for your replies. The carrier that I deal with allows this. I've tested it before with other PBXs and also with the 3300. I can set an extension to display the DID number as outgoing callerID no problem.
It's just on the PRI when a DID is forwarded directly out to an external number that I cant seem to get it to work. PRI seems to keep the original callerID as outgoing callerID

I was just testing SIP trunks after I posted my original message and it seemed to work with one of the settings on (i will update here once I remember what that setting is). Think i will just use SIP trunks for this.

But, if anyone else can think of something to try I'm all ears.
Thanks for the input!

On PRI the only option I believe is to pass the external number (if allowed by provider) or replace with the Main number (not individual DID's)

Ok Here is the setting I used on SIP Trunks to get this working:
SIP Peer Profile-->Calling Line ID-->Use Diverting Party Number as Calling Party Number=yes
I pointed a DID to a Trusted device, call forwarded always that trusted device out to the external number and used the DID as outgoing callerID on that trusted device.
All works like a charm.
Still can't get it to work on PRI but have a feeling Mitel doesnt allow you to use the diverting callerID as outgoing callerID on PRI, only SIP trunks.
