Forwarded address causes asp problems

Hi all
I have a site. People go to one address and are forwarded to the site.
The site has a login. The user submits a form, the login page processes it then redirects you to the right page. At this point the site loses the session variables.

It all works fine if you just go straight to the forwarded address, just not if you go via the first address

Any ideas?

found out the forward was in a frame set(!!!)
