Forward unconditional not working with external calls through VMPro

Good day,

I have an IP500 V2 system 11.1.2.2.0, with a UC Module V2 11.1.2.2.0 running VMPro. When users are not going to be in office, they enable Unconditional Forwarding for All Calls, on their extensions to their mobile phones.
External calls are processed by Voicemail Pro. These incoming calls to their extensions, go straight to voicemail and only internal calls between extensions, are being forwarded to the mobile numbers.
I need some assistance to get the unconditional forwarding working
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Why not use mobile twinning instead?

What is the VMPro doing with the external calls? Is it setup as an auto attendant? Does it transfer direct to extensions or through groups? If groups, is the 'Forward Hunt Group Calls' selected?

My apologies,
Yes, VMPro is setup as an auto attendant and it does direct transfer to extension with menu options and extension dialing.
There are also options for Hunt Groups, however 'Forward Hunt Group Calls' is selected.
Thank you for your prompt response.

The IPO isn't too friendly to forwarding hunt group calls. It will do it only if the hunt group is sequential. No collective groups.

At this point you should do a monitor trace of a working internal call forwarded to an external number and a failed external call. The only other thing I can think of is if trunk to trunk transfer isn't turned on for the external lines in question.

I agree with Mick Blue Twinning would work much better. You have better control especially if you want user to be able to control remotly.

@Mick Blue Spider with regards to twinning, the user wanted the ability to turn it on and off as needed, but I may have to resort to this.
@budbyrd where would I check to verify trunk to trunk transfer is turned on?
Thanks again everyone.
