I want to assign an coming ddi to a voicemailbox without having to assign the incoming ddi to a DN?

The idea is to have a virtual dn which will never have a handset assigned to it and this virtual dn would forward to a voicemailbox on CP which could be accessed by other users.

Would auto attendant be a better solution.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Make the MB then assign the target line to the express messaging line in the mailbox. Make the prime for the line the VM DN. This is the only way with out a phone to recieve calls directly into a MB. The only thing is, it is a mailbox not an extention and you can not dial internaly to a MB.Thuogh you can leave messages and transfer to VM.

Thanks that worked perfectly.

Is there any way to allow users who already have their DN's allocated to their own mailbox to see a MWI for this mailbox or is each DN only allowed to have MWI for one mailbox?

Thanks again

Each DN can only have have one MWI, but you can do OPMN (outcalling) to an ext. every time theres a message in the mailbox.

I haven't heard of that, can you explain how that works please?

Off premise message notification, is in the mailbox administration and is et by the mailbox.
