Hi all,

==BCM400 w/ 1140e phones==

We're seeing sporatic issues with forwarding phone calls directly to voicemail, using Feature 986. Most of the time it works, but occassionally it puts the caller on hold and then the user will need to pick up the line and try again with the same results. When this is happening, the employee will need to pick up the line, forward it to the line of the intended voicemail and then let it ring until voicemail picks up.

Any ideas of why this is happening? There are no messages displayed on the phone.

Does the user have 2 calls on their phone at this time? If so you need to add an intercom key, you have to have a free intercom key in order to xfer a caller to VM.

Also you may want to make sure they are not using the internal auto dial buttons....the F986 transfer must be dialed with the keypad or the call is put on hold.

Thanks guys... the phone that wasn't working only had 1 intercom button. I'll be adding another sometime today and testing.

This 1140e has a sidecar attached. On the main screen there are 6 buttons - 3 of which are hunt groups. Can I move these hunt groups to the side car? How much flexabity do I have with the expansion panel (can't think of the Nortel name for this piece).
