I have an IP Offive 500 V2, it has one combo card and one DS8.

I am trying to forward one user to his cell phone.

I read the posts here and thought that I did everything correctly.

1) Tick allow trunk to trunk transfer on all lines.
2) Tick allow internal forward for the user.
3) The phone is a 9508 - I selected forward -> Forward Unconditional.
4) I set non group calls
5) I put me cell phone in the forward number. I remembered to include the 9 to get out and the 1 before the area code.
6) I turned voicemail off.
7) The user has a line appearance which is a private number for him. I call than number and I get ring no answer.

If someone would help me with what I missed I would appreciate it.

Thank You

Andy

Ditch the line appearance and use call appearances.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Try using Twinning.
Programme a twin button on the phone.
Then enter the cell number
Press done

Thank you

I do not have call appearance as an option, so I set appearance.

The forward worked correctly, however, the line does not ring on the phone.

The options that I have are appearance, coverage appearance, bridged appearance and line appearance.

If it helps ring is turned off for the main hunt group on this phone.

depends what release you are

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

Almost like I'm repeating myself, if you have a line appearance for a line and incoming call route for that line is set to you also, those calls will not follow forwarding, get call coverage, etc. Its all in the IP Office Manager help.

Ditch the line appearance, and add a tag to the incoming call route for the line to identify calls on the 'Private Line'.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

That's version 8.0.18 which has twinning as default ..no licence required

@Avaya, please remove the "Line Appearance" option![neutral]
