We have a user setup under her user properties for and unconditional forwarding to her cell phone and a button programmed on her 5410 desk phone for fwd unconditional that she can turn off or on herself. When someone calls in to her desk phone and it gets forwarded to her cell phone she wants the original caller id to show up and not her desk phone #. I read some posts about changing a short code with an ss. So what is did was change our forward unconditional short code to this. Code *01 Telephone Number ss Feature Forward Unconditional On Line Group ID 0
This doesn't seem to work. I'm guessing I'm completely wrong setting this up so sorry. Any help much appreciated. Thanks!

This will only work with mobile twinning and/or when the provider allows you to do this.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

you need:
1) mobile twinning for this user (this implies NOT using analog lines, e.g. using PRI)
2) set ipo under system/twinning to send original calling party info (check radio button)

and

3) most important, your telco provider must support allowing "spurious" outgoing CLID through the telco switch. In the area I work (NA), the incumbent telco calls this a call screening table, and it must be removed to allow what the customer wants, and the customer will need to sign a waiver taking ownership of potential E911 issues as a result (e.g. it would now be possible to spoof a home number as outgoing CLID for any extension, which could result in emergency responders going to the wrong address).

Some providers don't even allow this.

SIP trunks work best for this!

With SIP in the US its called "Enterprise Trunking". Carrier says is to prevent fraud that is's not a default setting. I think they just want to charge more.
