Forward Phone to Another Extension if no answer

Meridian 81. How do I forward an extension(1) to another extension(2) and there is no answer or busy the call will be direct to the Extension(2) Voice Mail not the Extension(1) Voice Mail?

I have it set up this way. It still retures to Ext(1)Voice Mail if ext(2) to doesn't answer or they are on the phone.
I want if to go to Ext(2) Voice Mail

Did you put in Ext (2) FDN XXXX (number voicemail), and HUNT XXXX (number voicemail ) ?

I put in the ext(2) FDN XXXX phone extension, and Hunt xxxx phone extension. The voice extension for everyone is the same. I'm using meridian mail. Everyone's VM ext. is there phone extension. Everyone dials one extension for there Voice Mail and then enters their phone ext.

You must have a DN for Voicemail , this number is dial for call a voicemail

When I put the DN in For VoiceMail It going to the wrong Person's VM. If I could find A way of post a print out of the way I have this program I will post It Next week. I have to leave now.

Meridan mail will look:
1.}First for a Voice service dn - This does not sound like your problem.
2.}Second for A Voicemail box. IF Extension A is a primary box it will delever the message to it. If extension is a Second_DN or Thrid_DN on some ones else Mailbox it will delever the message there.

From the sounds of it You have left Voicemail for "extension A" still in meridian mail. From your last comment did you remove it, is it now programed as the Second_DN or Thrid_DN for "Extension B".

If you have done that next I would go to Local users in Mermail and choose softkey F10 for FIND. Then i would put "extension a" in the fields that relate to a person Mailbox and also extensions that would be programed into someones mailbox. Then press the softkey that relates to LIST (F8).

If that all checks out with only one entry found and it is the Primary Mailbox for 'extension b" you should be good to go.

With this senereo it will play the greeting of "extension b". to all users who are anwered by voicemail.
