forward on busy to voicemail

I am trying to get incoming calls to go to voicemail if they are one the phone and the secound call comes in and they decide not to answer i want it to go to voicemail after 4 rings. They have DID's the KSU software is 6.1 and voicemail is call pilot 100. I have the forward no answer set to 4 rings but the secound call keeps ringing voicemail never picks up. If they are away from the phone and a call comes in on their did voicemail will pick up after 4 rings. If I set forward on busy to the voicemail DN then voicemail picks up rite away on secound incoming DID call.

I just want the voicemail to pickup after 4 rings if they are on the phone.

Does the DID Line have a line appearance or does it just ring to Intercom? Sounds like you need to make sure that there are at least 2 Intercom paths for the person's extension.

I agree. Wouldn't hurt to have 2 appearances of the DID on the phone, if you can afford using an extra key on the phone.

Yes there are 2 intercom keys on the phones. I also have the 4 channels of the t1 appearing and ringing on the phones. I hope this info helps

also you will need the DID to have 2 appearances"make them ring only" and make sure you have min of 2 icom buttons for the second call scenario you wish for...if you still confused call your vendor

I was incorrect the line channels were not appearing on the phones. My problem was the appearances of the target line I only had one appearance for each phone not two.

Like luv2ski said make the target lines ring only. If you have to have the target line appear and ring then try setting the target line DRT to Prime & the prime set the voice mail DN.
