MCD 4.1 system that has a reception position with 2 backup receptionists, all 3 have 5324s with 96 PKM keys.

Incoming calls ring to a terminal Hunt Group with Key System line appearances on these 3 handsets to give a visual queue indication. The line appearances on the main reception phone (801) are set to Ring and the keys on other two phones (810 and 811) set to No Ring so they can see the queue as it fills and have the ability to answer those lines but don't get bothered by any audible ring since the main receptionist normally answers all those calls.

Our customer has asked if they can have an Off Duty key on the main reception phone that somehow sets the 2 backup position phones to ring on the incoming calls. At the moment I've suggested an off duty answer key on those 2 backups by Call Fwd Third Party on the Hunt Group to a Multicall key but then they no longer get the queue visualisation.

Is there a way to forward the Hunt Group but still have the Hunt Group members continue to ring? Alternatively, can I reroute the HG to an Off-Duty answer key then have it overflow/reroute/recall back to the Hunt Group so the OffDuty Answer key rings as well as the Hunt Group. I've noticed you can Maintain Ringing Party during a recall using a COS feature but can't work out if I can use this with my Hunt Group setup somehow.

The CoS option won't help for this issue. ACD is the most common way to work the way that you have described.

IF they are not using Night 2 on their system for anything else:

You can change the keyline appearances on the backup receptionists from 'no ring' to "delay ring" and set up two COS - ex. COS 10 with delay ring timer set to 60 seconds (day mode - so the sets don't ring) and COS 11 with the delay ring timer set to 5 seconds (night2 mode - sets will ring on 2nd ring)
Then give the backup receptionists COS 10 in day mode and COS 11 in night 2 mode

Then the main receptionist puts the system in night2 mode and the backups will ring (yah, on second ring, but most customers seem to be ok with that)
