Hi,
today I installed an IP500 R7.0(5) with 1408 phones (+embedded VM).
The client wants to route his main number, depending on the situation like:
1) route calls to all the phones OR
2) route calls to a cellular phone (client wants to change this number daily) oR
3) route calls to VM (no external answering machine - so the embedded VM)
I programmed it like this:
incoming route points to extension 13
situation 1) button with call forwarding all / action data = 20 (a HG with all the phones in it, collective, no fallback)
-> problem: all the phones ring, but not extension 13 (I suppose because he's doing the transfer - but seems weird, caus now I'm calling to a collective HG where individual forwards are ignored#. Same thing if I dial from another extension to HG 20 #all the phones ring, except extension 13#.
situation 2# button with call forwarding all / no action data. The user can enter the desired cellular number
situation 3# extension logout #call are routed to the VM - if off course the forwarding is cancelled#.
Is there a way to solve problem 1 #extension 13 not ringing with the HG)? This is going to be a very big issue for the client #I told him he can intercept a call with the buttons, but that's not good enough - I can give him some credit for this tough...#
Second question. Is there a better way to program these functions he would like? I think this is quite simple. But the client isn't happy with this one. #so I have to change the 1408 to a 1416 so I can program 3 call forwaring buttons with different external numbers). Phone Manager or working with short codes is no option for the client neither.
Most important for me is the HG issue. The second part is more to check if I could have done better...
thanks
